Outlaw Blood

The civilized world is no more.

Across the planet, economic collapse has laid it's nations low.  Their great cities, ash and void.

Mankind has been plunged into a new Dark Age.

No infrastructure, no fuel, no electricity, no law.

Nine years after the crash, the strong prey on the weak.

There is no compassion, only necessity and survival.

In the United States, the Government has collapsed, her large cities burned.

As the people fled the cities, they despoiled the rural lands around them.

Their fear and desperation, a contagion in itself...

In a far corner of the old United States,

In the harsh terrain of the American Northern Great Plains,

Big ranches are literal city states on the grasslands,

their currency, cattle.

Giving resurgence to range wars ,mounted gunmen, and bounty hunters.

And still, there is lawlessness...

Some are willing to fight for something greater.

But to have a chance, the people need a hero...

History is a cycle, and once again in the American West...

 "Then the characters...there was one scene where the main character and his friends are riding their horses to a street dance. One of them is hammered and just the way they interacted made me feel like I was hanging out with my old group of friends back home I was laughing out loud as my wife raised an eyebrow at me.
The gunfights, the tension? yet again I felt like I was a kid watching the Wild Bunch for the first time.
I could ramble on and on about this book. Just buy it you wont be disappointed. I think Harris has tapped into something here and should he continue he will only get better in his craft. Putting him right up there with the best authors in this well over done genre. "
